Singing most of our lead vocals is Nikki Nicole (a.k.a. Nicole Mukes). A native of Spencer, Oklahoma, Nikki began her career as a vocalist for Shortt Dogg back after her January 26th, 1999 audition at the Samarai in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mortified at the thought of her daughter performing in night clubs and exposed to the dangers of the "speak-easy" environment, Nikki was forbade by her mother to continue on her path.

In order to win her mother's approval and pay homage , Nikki added such tunes to the band's repertoire as "Miss Celie's Blues". Much to the band's success, other songs were added to reflect the empowerment of women through song such as India Arie's " Video", Aretha Franklin's "Natural Woman", and Eryka Badu's " Tyrone".

In addition to performing songs the industry's most prestigious female artists, Nikki really enjoys the hard driving beat and slick lyrics of the 70's funk revolution. Between Jazz, Blues, Funk, and Smooth R & B, Nikki along with Shortt Dogg will indeed take you on a musical journey bound to dazzle and amaze.
